Our Journey
Our journey began in 2024 with two directors who shared a deep interest in Sri Lankan spices and natural products. The inspiration for starting this business came from a simple yet unforgettable experience. One of our directors visited a church in Hiniduma, located in the southern region of Sri Lanka, and purchased cinnamon for home consumption. The aroma, freshness, and authentic taste of that cinnamon were far superior to the products commonly available in the market. This experience opened our eyes to the true quality of Sri Lankan spices and became the foundation of our business idea.
Before launching the company, we spent nearly six months studying the spice industry, market opportunities, product quality, and consumer preferences. With careful research and planning, we officially started our business with a commitment to provide authentic, high-quality, and natural products.
Today, we maintain a strong supplier network with small-scale farmers in rural Sri Lanka. By working closely with these farming communities, we are able to source premium raw materials while also supporting local livelihoods. Using these carefully selected ingredients, we create a wide range of value-added products related to spices, wellness, and lifestyle.
As we grew, we identified the increasing demand for spice-blended teas. This encouraged us to expand into the tea industry by creating unique tea blends using natural spices without relying on artificial flavors. Our goal has always been to offer products that are natural, distinctive, and different from conventional market offerings.
In addition to spices and teas, we further expanded into dehydrated fruit products and naturally scented candles. Our candle collection is carefully designed using natural fragrances inspired by spices, herbs, flowers, and fruits while also matching modern market trends and customer preferences. Through strong teamwork, innovation, and a friendly working culture, we continue to grow while maintaining our focus on quality, authenticity, and customer satisfaction.

Our Management
Director / CEO
Amali Perera is a Ceylon Team Agro (Pvt) Ltd and brings strong knowledge and professional experience in finance, management, and business operations. She holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance and has completed studies with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
With over 11 years of experience in the banking sector, she has gained valuable exposure to various industries, especially manufacturing companies. Through visiting and working closely with different businesses, she developed a deep understanding of production processes, quality management, operational systems, and customer expectations. This experience helped shape the vision and strategic direction of Ceylon Team Agro.
Her professional background has contributed significantly to building strong financial management practices, supplier relationships, and sustainable business operations within the company. She is passionate about promoting high-quality Sri Lankan products to local and international markets while maintaining the company’s commitment that “Quality is Our Promise.”
Director
M. Trishan Perera is a Director of Ceylon Team Agro (Pvt) Ltd and brings diverse professional experience in environmental consultancy, business strategy, project coordination, and sustainable development. He obtained his Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physical Science from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and has been actively involved in multidisciplinary projects related to environmental management, renewable energy, infrastructure development, and strategic planning in Sri Lanka.
He also served as the President of Section B (Agriculture and Forestry) of the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science for the year 2021, reflecting his active contribution to scientific advancement and the agricultural sector in Sri Lanka.
Over the years, he has worked closely with government institutions, international funding agencies, private sector organizations, and local communities, gaining valuable exposure to project management, stakeholder engagement, sustainability practices, and operational planning. His professional experience across multiple sectors has contributed significantly to the strategic direction and growth of Ceylon Team Agro, particularly in promoting environmentally responsible and quality-driven business practices.
Trishan is passionate about creating value-added Sri Lankan agricultural products that reflect the authenticity, richness, and heritage of Ceylon. He is committed to supporting local farmers, encouraging sustainable sourcing, and expanding Sri Lankan products into both local and international markets.
